Tarim University

Tarim University, founded in October 1958 by General Wang Zhen, is a comprehensive institution jointly built by the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and the Ministry of Education. Renamed in 2004, it has evolved from a bachelor’s degree-granting college into a university with doctoral authority (2018) and international student recruitment capabilities (2024). In 2025, it was honored as a "National Civilized Campus."
